I see counseling as a growing, changing relationship that we work on together as we work towards your goals. We will work together to figure out what you are looking for from therapy. I am big on communication so, if something is not working, let me know and I will pivot to find something better suited to your needs. You, as my client, are my priority.
My approach to therapy is through a reality therapy lens because of its emphasis on fun being a core part of being human. I believe that making time for fun and being a little silly from time to time can make the difference between surviving and thriving, especially through these trying times. I utilize DBT, CBT, and expressive therapeutic techniques to help you reach your goals and be able to see tangible progress while also allowing for adaptability if you ever feel stuck and need to be unstuck. I have worked with a wide variety of clients ranging from 5 years old to 80 years old. I have worked with clients who have dealt with all kinds of struggles as well from anxiety to Schizophrenia. No matter what, I am here to listen and offer a nonjudgmental, and low pressure space to do therapy in so you can slowly get to feel like yourself again.
