Hello! My name is Amanda Rosenberg, and I am in my final year of the M.S. Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at the University of Texas at San Antonio. I come to the counseling field with a strong foundation in education—I currently teach middle school theatre arts and hold a B.A. in Theatre Arts and a certificate in secondary education from Arizona State University.
My passion for counseling grew out of my work with students in underserved communities, particularly in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, I witnessed firsthand the emotional and mental health challenges young people face when navigating trauma, uncertainty, and social disconnection. These experiences deepened my desire to support individuals as they explore and heal from life’s difficulties.
I believe that each person’s background—cultural, familial, and lived experiences—plays a powerful role in shaping how they think, feel, and respond to the world around them. In my counseling work, I aim to help clients understand these influences with curiosity and compassion, so they can develop greater self-awareness and intentionality in their choices. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to express themselves freely and take meaningful steps toward personal growth and emotional well-being.
