Hi! I'm Chelsea, a graduate student counseling intern in the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Lamar University.

Before entering the counseling field, I spent several years serving children and families through education, school leadership, and ministry. Those experiences gave me a deep appreciation for the unique challenges people face throughout every stage of life and inspired my passion for helping individuals, couples, and families find hope and healing.

As a Marriage and Family Therapy intern, I believe our relationships play a significant role in our emotional well-being. Whether I'm working with a child, an individual, a couple, or an entire family, I strive to understand the whole picture which includes your relationships, experiences, strengths, and the environments that have shaped your story. My approach is collaborative, client-centered, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when people feel safe, understood, and empowered.

I enjoy working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families from all walks of life who are navigating anxiety, life transitions, parenting challenges, relationship concerns, and other life challenges. It would be a privilege to walk alongside you on your journey of self-discovery as we work collaboratively to foster healthy growth and healing.
