Clifton Kirkland
Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP), Supervised by Shirley Nedock LPC-S, In-person & Telehealth
I am a graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Liberty University and currently serving as a counseling intern. As a retired Air Force veteran, I bring a unique perspective shaped by years of service, discipline, and working with people from diverse backgrounds.
I strive to create a relaxed, supportive, and understanding place where people feel comfortable just being themselves. I believe in meeting people where they are and walking alongside them as they steer life’s challenges and navigate personal growth. My approach is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and a commitment to trauma-informed care.
I have a strong interest in supporting veterans, with an understanding of the unique experiences related to military deployment, culture, and civilian life transition. I am passionate about helping service members feel understood and supported as they process their experiences and adjust to life beyond service.
As I continue my training, I am committed to developing my clinical skills and applying evidence-based practices under professional supervision while providing compassionate, client-centered care.
