Jamie Harrison
Licensed Professional Counselor Associate Supervised by Shirley Nedock, LPC-S In-person & Telehealth
Hi, I’m Jamie Harrison. I am dedicated to supporting individuals, couples, and families as they work through life’s challenges and strive for meaningful change. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Southern New Hampshire University and my Master of Education in Counseling and Development from Lamar University.
My therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), psychoeducation, and talk therapy. I use these modalities because they offer a well-rounded framework for understanding patterns, managing distress, and promoting emotional growth. These approaches allow me to meet clients where they are while helping them build coping skills for long-term resilience and change. I have experience working in both behavioral treatment centers and outpatient settings, where I’ve helped clients manage a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, and emotional dysregulation. I also work with individuals and couples experiencing communication difficulties, helping them identify barriers, strengthen their interpersonal skills, and foster more meaningful connections.
My clinical work has taught me the importance of individualized, compassionate care. I recognize that each person’s journey is unique and deserves a thoughtful, tailored approach. Whether you’re seeking support for your mental health or your relationship or simply need a safe space to talk, I am here and look forward to meeting you.
