Jennifer Kammeyer

Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP), Supervised by Shirley Nedock LPC-S, In-person & Telehealth

Hi, I’m Jennifer, a counseling intern currently completing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lamar University. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. I came to counseling later in life—I was already quite grown up before I knew what I wanted to do when I grew up.

My clinical approach is guided by each client’s unique goals and needs. I integrate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, among others, as appropriate. Most importantly, I strive to create a collaborative, supportive, and educational environment where clients feel safe and respected.

I have a special place in my heart for working with older adults and individuals impacted by trauma. I value meeting clients where they are in life, honoring their experiences, and helping them develop coping strategies that align with their values and personal goals.
