Julie Gonzales
Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP), Supervised by Shirley Nedock LPC-S, In-person & Telehealth
Hello, I’m Julie Gonzales, and I am a master’s-level counseling intern at Living Tree Counseling Center in New Braunfels, Texas. I am currently completing my graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and feel honored to support individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences as they navigate life’s challenges, transitions, and healing journeys.
My approach to counseling is warm, collaborative, and client-centered. I am committed to providing a non-judgmental, supportive, and inclusive environment where clients feel safe to show up as their authentic selves. I strive to meet each person with empathy and respect, honoring their unique story, values, identities, and pace. I draw from evidence-based and trauma-informed practices, with a focus on building insight, emotional regulation skills, and resilience.
I have a strong interest in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, trauma, and major life transitions. I view therapy as a collaborative process that supports self-understanding, personal growth, and meaningful change over time.
Outside of the counseling room, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, being outdoors, and hanging out with my dog. I value moments of connection, grounding, and balance in everyday life. These values guide both my personal life and my work as a counselor.
