Hello! My name is Olawale Abdulsalam, and I am a graduate student in Counseling Psychology at Golden Gate University, currently completing my practicum training. I am passionate about supporting individuals through life’s challenges while creating a space where clients feel heard, respected, and understood.

My approach to counseling is grounded in empathy, cultural humility, and genuine human connection. I draw from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and person-centered techniques, while remaining flexible to meet each client’s unique needs and experiences. I believe therapy is a collaborative journey, and I strive to work alongside clients as they explore their thoughts, emotions, and goals.

With a professional background in public service and experience working with diverse populations, I bring a strong appreciation for cultural differences, resilience, and the complexities of individual life stories. I am particularly interested in supporting clients navigating stress, life transitions, identity, and personal growth.

I understand that seeking support takes courage, and I am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can begin their journey toward healing, self-discovery, and empowerment.
